About Us

Our story starts in Sandpoint, ID where, in 1976, we opened R&R Custom Color Lab’s doors for the very first time. Through several moves we made Spokane, WA our home. Printing changed drastically in this time from traditional darkrooms and retouching negatives by hand to digital technology touching each facet of printing.

In 2020, the original owner retired and one of his longtime employees took over the business with her husband and their wonderful staff.

We’ve seen a lot in our time but there are a few things that remain constant: commitment to quality, great products, customer service, employees and customers that are like family.

2026 marks our 50th anniversary and we look forward to continuing our commitments to you and celebrating the milestone together!

To produce high quality digital images, good communication is required between the lab and the photographer. One of the advantages to being a smaller lab is that our customers get to know each one of us personally. There is always a face to the name and, if you call us, you know the person you are speaking to over the phone is the same one you met in the lab.
